GoodWe system assessment
Choose the combination that fits your setup.
GoodWe offers different battery and storage-inverter families. A brand name alone does not establish that two products are compatible or that they will meet your household goals.
01
Identify the exact inverter and battery models
GoodWe publishes a compatibility overview identifying supported combinations and model-specific conditions. Some combinations require particular firmware or battery versions. Check the current Australian documentation for the equipment being proposed.
For existing solar, provide the inverter model and system details. Sunlands Solar can assess suitable options rather than assume that every existing inverter supports a direct battery connection.
02
Define the job the battery should do
Using stored solar in the evening, managing time-of-use demand and providing backup are different requirements. The proposed inverter, battery capacity and electrical design need to support the intended use.
Ask which circuits can be backed up, the available output power and any limitations. Whole-home backup and uninterrupted operation should not be assumed.
03
Understand monitoring and handover
Ask which monitoring platform is supported by the proposed equipment, what internet connection is needed and what information you will be able to see. Monitoring can help you understand generation and storage behaviour, but it does not guarantee a financial result.
At handover, retain the equipment model/serial details, commissioning information, relevant manuals, warranty documents and a clear support contact.
04
Review the written proposal
Confirm the exact product codes, installed scope, exclusions, warranty conditions and how any estimate relates to your electricity usage and tariff. Product warranties and installation responsibilities should be understood separately.
