For your business

For after sunset
Store more of your solar and rely less on peak-priced grid energy.
Find my battery systemYour energy, throughout the day
Solar and a battery do different jobs. Together, they can help you use more of the energy your roof produces, whenever home needs it.

The day begins on your roof
First light. Fresh energy.Make the most of the sunshine
Power now. Store for later.A little sunshine, saved for later
Stored by day. Used by night.01 — START WITH THE SUN
As sunlight reaches your panels, solar generation begins. That energy can help power the things happening at home, with the grid or available battery charge covering any gap.
↗Generation changes with the weather, season and your roof.
02 — CAPTURE THE EXCESS
When your panels produce more electricity than your home is using, a compatible battery can store some of that excess for later. It gives your daytime solar another job to do.
↗Your roof can work for the hours you’re away, too.
03 — BRING THE DAY INTO THE NIGHT
After sunset, stored solar energy can help power your evening. How long it lasts depends on your battery’s available charge and what you use. The grid remains there when you need more.
↗Think about your evening routine when planning battery size.

Make more of your solar
A well-sized battery stores excess daytime solar for the hours when your home needs it most. Eligible systems may also receive an upfront discount through the Australian Government's Cheaper Home Batteries Program.

A little clarity goes a long way
You don’t need to know every technical detail to get started. Here are a few of the things worth understanding first.
Prefer to talk it through?
0487 649 747Often, yes. The right approach depends on your inverter, existing solar system and electrical setup. We’d start by reviewing what you already have before discussing a compatible battery or any upgrades that may be needed.
Solar panels can still generate in cloudy conditions, but output is lower. Stored battery energy may help cover a shortfall; a grid-connected home can also draw from the grid when solar and available battery energy aren’t enough.
Only if the system supports backup and is designed and installed for it. Backup may cover selected circuits rather than your whole home. Tell us which appliances matter to you so backup requirements can be considered from the start.
We look at how much electricity you use, when you use it, your roof and available space, and what you want to achieve. Existing solar, future plans and any backup needs also matter. The aim is a system suited to your property and routine.
Your address, a recent electricity bill and a little about your goals are a useful start. If you already have solar, the inverter make and model and your current system details can help. You can still begin the conversation if you don’t have everything handy.
Compatible systems offer app or online monitoring. With supported GoodWe equipment, SEMS can help you see solar production and energy use, including battery information where fitted. Available features depend on the equipment and monitoring setup.
